I am exactly 39 weeks today and I suffered from Braxton Hicks for the first time this morning at around 1am. I really thought I was going into early labor because I had a hard time getting up and my abdominal area was hurting so bad. I went to the bathroom and noticed some watery discharge so I thought that my amniotic fluid is slowly leaking out. I noticed some mucous plug yesterday and the day before as well so that is why I thought it was my amniotic fluid today.

Anyway, I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I have not dilated at all. And today after my Braxton Hicks this morning, I am feeling better after several hours. I guess it was a good thing that I did not overreact and ask my husband to take me to the hospital. They would have probably told me to go back home until I get real labor contractions.

I know these Braxton Hicks are also called 'false labor' but man do they get me fooled. They were coming every 5-10 minutes are so too. Obviously they are false because they don't come regularly and I am typing this blog just fine.

I did go to the bathroom #2 twice this morning so maybe these false contractions are helping my bowel movements as well.
