Lost 10 pounds in less than 6 weeks
April 5, 2021
I don't know how accurate my scale is but I was shocked to find out that I'm now 123.2 lb. On February 23, 2021, I went to the doctor's to get some bloodwork done and they weighed me at 133.8 lb. I found out I had really high cholesterol 2 days after that doctor's visit and started fixing my diet right away. I'm eating less meat, more vegetables and fruit, less processed food like white bread, chips and sweets and substituting meat with beans and legumes, whenever I can. I also added fish to my diet more regularly.
About a couple of weeks after starting this diet, I lost about 3 or 4 pounds. I felt better, more limber and was breathing better too. I knew I was heading in the right direction. Because of my busy life, I can't fit in a work out yet but I hopefully will start being able to soon.
As per usual, every one weighs less in the morning so my current weight at 123.2 lb today is before eating breakfast. My goal was to weigh 120 lb by July and I think I'm going to reach that goal within the next month or so if I'm able to keep this healthy diet up. To be clear, this is a lifestyle change for me. Before, I was eating really unhealthy. I would eat fried chicken at least once every week, ate French fries like they're staple food and ate instant noodles and chips regularly. I was eating like a hormonal teenager all the time. It was bound to affect my health. I'm in my late 30s now and putting myself in check.
I do give myself a free day every once in a while. Thus far, within the last 6 weeks, I've eaten a greasy burger with garlic fries once, 1 bag of Asian instant noodles once and allowed myself to enjoy a mochi from my bokksu box a few times.
My starting and current weight:
Feb 23, 2021: 133.80000197 lb (scale at doctor's office)
Today on April 5, 2021: 123.2 lb (scale at home)
Importantly, the doctor's office said I need to exercise regularly so that is the one thing I have not been able to do but have to start doing this month. What can I say, doctor's orders!
