Lost 10 pounds in less than 6 weeks

I don't know how accurate my scale is but I was shocked to find out that I'm now 123.2 lb. On February 23, 2021, I went to the doctor's to get some bloodwork done and they weighed me at 133.8 lb. My older son is really into Minecraft so I decided to surprise him with Minecraft themed decorations for his birthday party. A few of the things that I did myself included creating a centerpiece using a cardboard box and a plastic green tablecloth and drew Creeper's face on it with a permanent black pen. Now I remember why I stopped pumping milk into a bottle to feed my son. Every time I use a breast pump, I get a clogged duct hours later. It's just not made for me. After I gave birth to my son, I would pump every 3-4 hours so that I could keep my supply up and my husband can participate in feeding him too. We went to the Yard House in Atlanta to get home appetizers and cool down from the hot weather in June. They had the spicy tuna roll as one of their appetizers on their menu. I just want to warn you guys that it's not the typical Japanese spicy tuna roll that you would expect. See my picture below. My 3 month old baby has been pulling his ears a lot whenever he gets sleepy. I'm so worried. It just started to tear a little. I would put neosporin on it and hope it would heal. I've been trying to get him to not tug on it as much when he gets sleepy by covering his ear with my hand when he reaches for it. My newborn is 2 months and 3 weeks old and he has been consistently rubbing his eyelids. He rubs his left one more than his right so his left one is really swollen and red. It doesn't look as bad if he doesn't rub it for awhile but then it gets swollen again once he rubs it. When I first started pumping my breast milk, my first 15 min session produced under 1 oz and that's including both breasts! On the 3rd day after I gave birth was when I started pumping to get more milk coming. Now, 15 days later, I am finally producing over 5 oz. What a difference and relief! Got my Group B Strep test last week after 36 weeks

My OB/GYN said that after 35 weeks, pregnant women have to get tested for Group B Strep so I had to get another vaginal exam where they stick a stick test in there. It was quick and painless. It's not like a cervical exam where they stick their fingers in there.

They said that about 20 - 30% of women have this and they want to find out ahead of time to ensure the baby doesn't get infected during delivery. It can cause stillbirth and serious infections for some babies.

Dim Sum House in Morrisville, NC is a nice surprise

We were craving for dim sum so we researched for places with dim sum near where we were during our road trip and found Dim Sum House is Morrisville. Conveniently located not too far from my highway exit, it was easy to spot the big sign for the restaurant.

The exterior of the restaurant is definitely something you would find in North Carolina. Covered in brick with bold signs, this has got to be the most sophisticated exterior I've seen for a dim sum restaurant.

The first time I realized that maybe I was pregnant was when I was getting continuous vaginal cramping but without having a period. I've noticed I'm more fatigued and my 2 mile jog is not as easy as before.

We went to Pensacola Beach over the weekend to meet up with our friends and I was so taken away by the beautiful beach. The sand is like a powder and the water is so clear and warm. My parents were originally from Vietnam so I grow up in America eating a lot of Vietnamese food. One of the dishes my mom would make is "muc don thit" which is stuffed squid. I can't believe the amazing portions Hash House gives you! It's ginormous.We always share a plate with another person when I am here and we still don't finish the plate. The ambiance is amazing but the wait is really long so you either avoid coming with a large party to come here (takes longer to get seated) or come super early!

If you're lucky, you'll get to sit in the patio on a sunny San Diego day.

I went to Bojangles for the very first time in South Carolina and I've got to say that I think this place has better fried chicken than KFC. I grew up eating KFC so this is a bold statement. Everyone needs to try this if they are in the South! Don't pass it up. It comes in a nice box with cajun fried chicken!

Westin Town Lake in Virginia Beach definitely made it to the top 5 stay list for hotels for me. They are efficient and workers are true professionals! It is also really close to many bars and restaurant and they also have their own bar inside. We were immediately impressed as we stepped in and saw the lobby. See lobby picture below.
Their bed is also comfortable and clean.

With over 30 beers on tap, this place guarantees selection. I went here for the first time earlier this month on a Saturday night and it was so busy! There was a 2 hour wait for a table of 7 and also many people sitting and standing at the bar to order drinks. It was amazing. This seems like the hot spot for the beach town. I totally recommend it, if you don't mind the large crowd.

We went to the Homestead Dog Park in Chapel Hill, NC for the first time this month when we were visiting and we were not impressed. We only saw one other dog there and the place was really muddy with a lot of rules. See the sign below for the rules. In San Diego, it is a much more friendly place and many people bring their dogs to the dog park to play and get acquainted with other dogs.

Now, as a native San Diegan, I don't see snow often so when I saw snowing falling a lot for the first time, I was ecstatic! I was also very intrigued by how the trees looked with snow on top.

I must say, it does give me this sense of serenity when I see this. I really do enjoy it, just as long as I don't have drive in the snow often.

In North Carolina, Golden Corral is the more popular thing than Hometown Buffet around here and I went for my very first time at 29 years old. My grandpa in law took me here and it was delicious! I can see why he raves about this place! There is so much food. There is no way you can try everything! They have a nice salad bar, bbq section, chocolate fountain in the dessert section and also a Chinese section. It was unbelievable!

I made chicken pot pie and collard greens for lunch today and it probably only costed me $10 and it fed my husband and I twice! For chicken, I boiled 3 pieces of drumsticks the night before and then used frozen vegetables, canned cream of chicken, milk and some bisquick mix for the rest of the ingredients for the pot piece! It came out great. To make it a healthier meal, I sauteed some collard greens with salt and garlic as a side. My husband loved it!

I just moved to South Carolina from California and I've noticed that they really promote, advertise collard greens in the grocery stores! Everyone eats them regularly here. You'll see them at buffet lines often too. Of course this whole experience is new to me but I do learn to adapt and bought my first bag of collard greens. I've got to say it's a big bunch too. I am so impressed by my first trip to Piggly Wiggly in Florence, SC. Everyone is so friendly there and they sent us coupons in the mail for free items to shop there. I am from California and we don't have Piggly Wigglys so I was very amused by a name of a grocery store like this. I will tell you that I favor this over Food Lion, even though Food Lion is closer!

My sailor and I recently moved to South Carolina from San Diego, CA and I tell you, sometimes you will find bad weather, impatience,and being tired from the car ride, delaying your trip. It took us 5.5 days and that's because we slept every night and never drove more than 10 hours a day.

We did it! We got married and the grand ceremony and reception were exceptionally successful!

One week before our out of towners were starting to arrive, I created welcome bags with printing labels at home and stuck them on brown gift bags with tissue paper.

My fiance is looking for his tuxedo for the wedding and we've settled on a bowtie and cumberbund for his al fit instead of wearing a vest. This is the very first time I've heard of the word cumberbund and it's quite a fun word. If you want to know how it looks like, see image of the one I took. A week ago, my fiance and I moved in together. We found a 1 bedroom apartment together/ This is the very first time I'm moving in with a lover. It's great so far. We're saving money on gas and time on planning because we live in the same home.
The only thing I have a complaint about is I'm a bit afraid of the landlord. He seems very stern and picky. He got a bit mad when he found out his dog has been sneaking into our home to eat our pet's food. It's not our fault that his dog is a pig.
